Ella's Garden was created by

Nilmi Robinson

Nilmi grew up in Moratuwa, a suburb on the southwest cost of the Laccadive Sea in Sir Lanka. A small child in the garden of her families breezy tropical home, Nilmi's father and older brother would have her help care for the family's plants and she immediately fell in love with horticulture. Monstera deliciosa, begonias and everything in-between, her bother would encourage her to care for and grow to their maximum potential. However adventure awaited Nilmi and at age 23 she moved across the globe to New York.

The Robinson's purchased a home and joined their families together. Shortly after baby Ella was born. After hearing all the beautiful stories of Nilim's childhood Mr. Robinson knew that Ella would love to have a similar experience. The two set out together on the difficult task of keeping tropical plant in the northern hemisphere put after many trial and error they created a tropical oasis and Ella's Garden was born.
